Oh… Hello!

Hello, welcome and thanks for visiting. I’m afraid there’s not much in the way of content at the moment because I’m still in the process of getting the site up and running. Not an easy task when you’re self-hosting for the first time because, to begin with, I didn’t know my A-Record from my elbow or my DMARC entry from my DNS hole. Why do internet boffins have to make it all so confusing and complificated?

I have learned quite a lot of useful stuff in the process, though – Most notably: Don’t ever press the enter key unless you’re absolutely sure of what you’re doing – Unless, that is, you get a kick out of watching your web site seemingly vanish into the unknown depths of cyber-space right before your very eyes. Or you enjoy having your outgoing emails come bouncing back more than Buddy Holly’s rubber ball could ever dream of.

Mind you, I am a stubborn old so-and-so and, after a few little “hiccups” (aka, “complete catastrophes”) I grafted away and eventually got the hang of things. Et voilà, here I am live on t’ interwebs, hosted on my very own Synology NAS/server thingamabobs.

So, do keep an eye out for new content which will, hopefully, be coming very soon. Music, videos, photos, me rambling and ranting my way through various topics – The usual bloggy-type fare. If you have a news reader, you could always subscribe to the news feed.
